His Excellency Mr. Christian Ndongala Nkuku holds a degree in Economics and a DES in International Cooperation and Economic Development from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, a Master's in Political Science with a specialisation in International and European Politics, and a PhD in Development Sociology from the University of Lille.

On 22 October 2021, the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, appointed His Excellency Mr. Christian Ndongala Nkuku as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the Mission to the European Union, by presidential decree.

He is a professor at the University of Kinshasa and a lecturer at the University of Lille 2. On 6 February 2017, he defended a doctoral thesis in Sociology at the University of Lille 1, titled: "Social Reintegration and Life Trajectories of Street Children in Kinshasa."

This thesis focused on the social reintegration and survival strategies of street children in Kinshasa, "through their practices of entering and leaving these institutions."
